A Canadian Hereford Association recognized Mark of Excellence Show,
this event attracts exhibitors from across the 4 western provinces.
Horned Hereford & Polled Hereford will show separately.

Hereford Influence Divisions are offered for all age categories.
CHOICE CUT COMPETITION - CARCASS SHOWDOWN
Returning for a second year is our popular, Choice Cut Carcass Showdown,
a bull ultrasound carcass evaluation and competition with prizing.
All 2024 born Hereford bulls entered at the Alberta Hereford Showcase,
including the Hereford Genes Event & Best of the West Bull Sale,
will be ultrasound at the chute during weigh-in.

NEW FOR 2025
Hereford bull calves born between Jan 1 - Feb 28, 2025 entered in the
Alberta Hereford Showcase, will also be eligible for the Choice Cut Competition.
Rod Wendorff of Windy Ridge Ultrasound will analyze the data
in conjunction with TELUS Agriculture & determine the following:
Best Ribeye/100lbs LMY Yearling Bull
Best Marbling Yearling Bull
Best Overall Carcass Yearling Bull (combining all the carcass traits)
Best Overall Carcass Bull Calf (combining all the carcass traits)

NEXTGEN SOCIAL
Breeders between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to join us for
a chance to network with other like-minded young beef producers!
The evening will feature a session on succession planning for
young producers looking to take over an established farm business,
a free meal & lots of time for socializing over some refreshing beverages.
